Operation Cape Tribulation: Not Accomplished

Today we drove north to Mossman Gorge, the Daintree Rainforest, and Cape Tribulation. Mossman Gorge is “Gorgeous”. The entire day was rainy. We were able to observe the Rainforest in its truest sense: raining! It rained so much that we were unable to make it to Cape Tribulation, which is the furthest north, Coopers Creek overflowed making impossible to continue. By the time we made our way back through the rainforest, a hillside collapsed on the north bound side of the road. Waterfalls were cascading off cliffsides and we were forced to drive through a wide swath of an overflowing creek. We looked for saltwater crocodiles when we crossed on the Daintree River Ferry, none were seen. We heard about a crock petting zoo, but it costs and arm and a leg to visit, get it? It must be a good experience because parts of you may never leave. We wish everyone a Happy Easter as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ and the freedom of the resulting saving grace.

  1. In case I don't talk to you Craig, Happy Birthday. Wow. I am seriously having a problem with my oldest being 30 yrs old. How can I still be 28 when you are 30? It is confounding. Have the best birthday ever along with a year that has been so incredable. I love you three so much.

  2. Wow! Beautiful scenery, of course. What a fun adventure. It looked dangerous and I am glad that you are all o.k. Sorry about the absence of crocodile sightings. Do they do tours, like our whale watching boats? They could have a slogan like Don't be a chum-p. Don't pet the Crocs. I know lame.

Zachary wants to know what you get when you mix onions and beans.

Tear gas! Ha ha ha, get it?

We got your postcard of the Great Ocean Road and he wanted to know if he could go to Australia and go fishing with Craig, because the picture looked like it was a good place to fish. He was bummed that he would have to wait until next time you traveled so he could go with you. ;)

I'm here with the Maggie and Cindy and we loved reading about your adventures.

Maggie says she really thought there was a croc petting zoo and she thinks Craig is REALLY old now!! (but doesn't look it) HAHA!!

Cindy wants to know if you can get Dave a ticket to the petting zoo for their anniversary. HEHE!

    Gracie says "HI!"

I miss you all and wish I was there to join in the sibling bonding time! But I do get to hang with the Brennans anytime I want!

  4. Thanks for a peek into the amazing-wonderful-fabulous-pictorial-verbal-journal of proof that all things work together for good in the lives of people like Craig and Mariella who love God and are following His calling and purpose for their lives. Carlo <><
